When is the next CrossTalk Concert?
CrossTalk generally does one full concert on campus during the Spring Semester. This concert is scheduled for Saturday, April 16 in Crowder Hall at 7:30 PM

The group is also planning a number of other concerts during the Spring Semester and a tour of the SouthWestern US. More information will be posted as plans are finalized.

Can I book CrossTalk for my event?
ABSOLUTELY! CrossTalk has performed as state and national conventions and has presented several educational "informances".

To book CrossTalk, contact Norman Weinberg at nweinber@email.arizona.edu to discuss availability and honorarium.

Can I play in CrossTalk?
YES - Auditions take place at the beginning of each semester. Contact Dr. Weinberg at nweinber@email.arizona.edu for more information>

Does CrossTalk have any CDs available?
Yes, we do! Our CD is titled "Alias" and the title comes from the fact that we can make any sound we want, and we can take on any musical identity.

CDs are $15.00 each and you can get them at our performances, by contacting Dr. Weinberg at nweinber@email.arizona.edu, or on iTunes.

How do students learn to program the hardware and software?
We generally spend the first several weeks of the Fall Semester learning some of the basics of percussion controller programming and learning our software. After we get "up and running", students develop deeper programming skills as necessary to play the compositions and create the sounds that work together for the music.

Have students used the knowledge they've learned in CrossTalk in the professional and academic worlds?
Yes. Very much so. Some of our CrossTalk alumni are teaching at major universities, playing on Broadway, touring the world in bands, and composing music for television and film. We have several success stories!

Can I get gear for free?
Nope. CrossTalk has great professional relationships with several hardware and software companies, but free product is not available. From time to time, discounts can be arranged for students who are in CrossTalk.

If I write music for CrossTalk, will it get played?
Yes. The group has a long history of performing both original compositions and arrangments that members of the group create.

How can I find out more about CrossTalk?
Contact the Director of CrossTalk, Norman Weinberg. He can be reached at nweinber@email.arizona.edu
